Thank you for serving on the Next Gen Team at Bridge City Church!
At Bridge City, the safety and security of our children and students is critical to the health of our ministry. We are implementing a new process to ensure that all team member clearances are up-to-date and on file at the church office.
In order to be in compliance with Pennsylvania state laws, anyone that serves on the Bridge City Students or Bridge City Kids teams are required to have the three background clearances completed that are listed below, and complete Mandated Reporter Training. These clearances and training serve to confirm and ensure that team members do not have a record of child abuse or any other criminal actions that would make them ineligible to serve on the Next Gen teams, and understand that they are considered mandated reporters and know how to report any form of child abuse.
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
Pennsylvania Criminal History Clearance
FBI Waiver (if you have lived in the state of PA for ten or more consecutive years) or FBI Federal Criminal History Clearance (if you have not lived in PA for ten consecutive years)
Mandated Reporter Training (online or in person)
Keep one copy of your clearance, and turn in the other to the church office via firstname.lastname@example.org or at your campus’s Connection Point in a sealed envelope. Please write your name and campus on the envelope. Clearances and Mandated Reporter training must be updated every five years. Detailed instructions are listed below on how to obtain each clearance and training. You may also find these instructions with links to each website at bridecitypgh.com/nextgen.
We are so thankful for your heart to serve in Children’s Ministry and your continuous dedication to the Kingdom of God. We couldn’t do this without you! Thank you for all that you do!
